How to add and remove liquidity

Depositing Liquidity

1. In "Pool" page, you can choose to deposit your funds in different tokens in Main Pool, Alt Pools and Factory Pools.

   
2. Click "Deposit" , enter the amount you want to deposit and press the deposit button in the pop-up box.

3. A pop-up window will appear. Check the details to double confirm and click confirm deposit.

4. Upon confirmation, the transaction will enter a settlement period of less than a second. It is best not to close your browser during that period.

Withdrawing Tokens from Platypus Pool

1. To withdraw liquidity from Platypus Pool, select “Withdraw” from the corresponding column on the “Pool” page.

2. You will be given the option to enter how much of your liquidity to be withdrawn from the pool.

3. Once you enter the desired amount, select “Approve Withdrawal” then click the “Withdraw” button. You’ll be prompted to confirm the transaction via Metamask’s interface.

4. The withdrawal has been completed.

Withdrawal Fees

A small fee will be taken from the proceeds of the withdrawal. This is to avoid a specific attack to our system called “Withdrawal arbitrage” (or “Deposit Arbitrage”).

Withdraw in other asset

It is possible that some assets may become highly under-covered when a liquidity provider attempts to withdraw the tokens, hence the amount may not be settled in full. Platypus will handle the situation in two ways:

1. Liquidity providers will be warned that he can at most withdraw what the system has in cash, and he may wait until the system’s coverage ratio restores back to equilibrium to withdraw.

2. We allow liquidity providers to withdraw in other assets in the pool that are over-covered.
