Set up your MetaMask

This step-by-step guide shows you how to set up MetaMask and add custom tokens to your wallet.

Create an account on Metamask

1. Download and install “Metamask” on Chrome/ Google Play/ Apple Store.

2. Click on the “Create a Wallet” button.

3. Create Password that comprises a minimum of 8 characters

4. Store your backup phrase. *Remember not to share your seed phrase with others to protect your account from potential hackers.

Congratulations 🎉, you have a Metamask wallet now!

If you already have a Metamask wallet, just skip the above steps and click the "Import Wallet" icon, fill your private key to access your wallet.

Set up Avalanche Network on Metamask

1. Click the network dropdown and then select Custom RPC

2. Fill the form as follows:

Network Name: Avalanche Network New RPC URL: https://api.avax.network/ext/bc/C/rpc Chain ID: 43114 Symbol: AVAX Explorer: https://snowtrace.io/

Now, you’re in the Avalanche network.
